If you are running a version of MacPrefect before 3.0, you must follow the following instructions:
Note The MacPrefect 3.0 Control Application will pick up the previous extensions on a machine. It is therefore advised that you use the 3.0 Application to remove the old extensions.
• Version 2.2:
1. Run the MacPrefect Control 3.0 application.
2. Uncheck the “Extension Installed” checkbox, and confirm that you want to remove the extension. This will remove the old extension along with all the protection.
3. Check the “Extension Installed” checkbox, and confirm that you want to install the extension. This will install the new 3.0 extension along with all the default protection.
4. Configure each of the tools to your requirements.
5. Quit the application.
• Version 2.3.x:
1. Run the MacPrefect Control 3.0 application.
2. Uncheck the “Extension Installed” checkbox, and confirm that you want to remove the extension. This will remove the old extension along with all the protection.
3. Check the “Extension Installed” checkbox, and confirm that you want to install the extension. This will install the new 3.0 extension along with all the default protection.
4. Configure each of the tools to your requirements.
